How colourfast are the paving products?
The natural stone products that we offer are several million years old, and are therefore colourfast! The manufactured product is manufactured by the market leaders in reproduction paving using only the best pigmentation and raw materials, and therefore the paving actually improves with age rather than fading.
Q: How is sandstone made and how long does it take for sandstone to form?A: Sandstone is a sedimentary rock. It is formed by many materials that are moved several times by the earth’s surface. Wind, gravity, and ice are the natural driving forces that help form sedimentary rocks. Quartzite is a common ingredient found in sandstone. Therefore it will take millions and millions of years for sandstone to form into large masses that are found in the oceans floor.

Q: Sandstone being a soft material, why is it so durable?
Sandstone Formation
A: Sandstone pavers are a highly versatile product. They are formed over millions and millions of years and only grow better with age. When they are in their forming stage the minute particles that form sandstone are then bound together by clay, and silica. Sandstone is just as durable as cement is. To test pieces of sandstone just rub a piece of metal along the stone and watch the metal fade. That shows the strenght of sandstone pavers.
Q: Are sandstone pavers only available in a golden color?
A: No! When sandstone is first produced from quarries it is normally a bluey grey color. Once it is out in the open air, oxygen and water produce oxidants with then change the color. Sandstone pavers offer many magical colors like; greens, browns blues, oranges, reds and many more. They also feature swirls of different colors. Veining and striking of different colors are also found in forms of sandstone. In some cases, the materials which help form sandstone fossils can be found in amongst the pavers when they are being cut.
