Raj Green Sandstone has become the most popular Indian sandstone in the UK. Raj Green Sandstone originates from Rajasthan in India,http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rajasthan. The stone is quarried from the same open cast mines as the Autumn Brown Stone. Primarily a desert state with an abundance of natural sandstone and was named from its origin location in Rajpura in Bundi district of Rajasthan.
Raj Green Sandstone is a hard stone and very similar to the native York Stone in the North of England. The Stone has a very similar colour and texture with a semi-riven and smooth finish.
